Shane Warne, an excellent spin bowler of Australia, bowled the cricketing world by announced his retirement from international cricket at the end of present Ashes tour. He is going to be the first bowler in the world to capture more than 700 test crickets in tests. He is a great bowler and has been a terror to most of the best batsmen.
Of course, he has to go from last world cup due to drug abuse and served a ban. His was a illustrious career spanning more than a decade excepting for this blot.

Indians have played very well to win this test under 4 days. The performance of Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Sreeshanth, Zahir Khan and Anil Kumble was excellent and the good leadership of Rahul Dravid cannot be forgotten

DVG, a doyen of Kannada literature is a multi-faceted personality. Though, he claims he has not studied well, his writings are really very well. His books, Mankuthimmana Kagga and Maralumuniyana Kagga are very good. They provide insight and food for thought.
His other books, especially “Jnapaka Chitrashale”, 8 volumes of them have been categorised and gives a clear picture of the history in common man’s perspective of the period around upto independent India.
